At Purity Bay, the most important thing we do it to make sure our customers have the best water system and the best customer service we can possibly offer. That’s why we have over 150 5-star reviews on Google! As part of this, we are offering this blog to help with simple instructions on how to refill salt with your Purity Bay 10-Stage.
Refilling salt is a simple action that is needed routinely with your Purity Bay 10-Stage whole home water filtration system.
Buying Salt
The first step is to buy salt. These come in 40-pound bags made for water systems such as water softeners, water conditioners and the Purity Bay 10-stage whole home water filtration system.
We have found that crystal salt is ideal for our system. We suggest using the crystals over the pellets as these perform better in our machinery.
These can be obtained from Home Depot and is around $8 per 40-pound bag. This can also be from Lowe’s, Walmart or Publix.
How Often Do You Need to Refill?
This is based on water usage, so may not specifically apply to your home, but we can offer a ballpark estimate.
The average salt container takes four (4) bags to fill up. In an average home with three (3) human beings, a refill with four bags should last three (3) months.
You can think with an average trip to the store every three months to spend $32 on salt bags (160 pounds).
How To Refill
This is as simple as it sounds.
First, pull the top off the salt tank. Then dump the salt in.
